RP: Brian and G Who: Brian and G Where: Team Center When: July 8, 2011 Summary: Brian fails his certification and qualification
Brian was not a stupid man. In fact, it was amazing that he'd managed to make it look like he was doing the work this long. The hours at the range were all accounted for, even if he hadn't actually shot a gun during the time there, but he had been there. He was also smart enough that he'd picked up things during classes, even if he was half asleep, and really he hadn't survived in the fields of advertisement and politics without picking up things. That, and he watched all those cops shows when he was high and bored. You were bound to pick up a thing or ten about fingerprints.
So, the day of the tests came, and Brian wasn't too worried. He would pass or he would fail. Really, there were only two options. Of course, there was no way that he passed the gun qualification. 80% his ass. More like close to 50%, and considering that he had barely practiced, that was pretty good. The certification went slightly better. A case was made up of various parts, and he knew what made people thick. It was easy to get things like motives and possible hiding strategies. Finding and rescuing the 'victim' wasn't so easy, though. Brian's survival instinct was a lot higher that people suspected. Sure, he didn't care if he died, if the alternative was not having fun, but if it was between choosing between his life and a kidnaping victim's life, then his life won. If you were stupid enough to be kidnapped, then you should die and leave everyone else in peace. So he ended up shooting everyone with different degrees of success, and really someone should have killed the victim sooner and made his job easier. He also failed, which was all right with him. It's not like he ever planned to shoot anyone for real. Paint bullets were one thing, but real guns weren't something he planned on using. Like ever.
The only downside was that now he had to listen to people. He was sure that John would have something to say, but at least he could distract the kid. Callen on the other hand- Brian sighed. Right, better get it over so he could enjoy his Friday night at the club. "Oh fierceless leader. Decided what you're going to do with me?" he asked with a grin. "You know, you could just give me a desk job and be done with it... oh wait, I already have a desk job, and I'm pretty good at it too, all without the aide of a gun."
