He looked at Tim as if this was just another UnSub as soon as the tension in his voice registered. He was suddenly glad that he'd put away his gun and that he'd asked Blye and Vail to leave. "It's all right, Tim. The wall isn't important. A sheet rock, some paint and it will be as good as new." He couldn't care less about the wall at the moment.
"I'm coming closer," he said with a calm voice. "It's okay, Tim. The headaches, the usually bring about your power. You aren't the only one." He watched the gesture, and it wasn't hard to see that Tim was panicking, that he was afraid and confused. As soon as he was close enough, Derek hugged the other man, feeling Tim's arms against his chest. "We'll figure this out, Tim. I need you to relax, okay? Nothing is going to happen to you. We just need to figure out how it works and what it is." He knew that this wouldn't be easy on Tim. Too many things were changing even before this power and Tim didn't handle changes well to begin with. "Let's sit down, Tim. I'll stay with you until this stop."
