Marty sat up a bit straighter when Hetty asked his opinion about Savannah, attempting to briefly put his thoughts together - Savannah was such a complicated subject for someone who was supposed to be just a normal girl.
"I don't think she requires constant supervision, no." He said finally finding a place to start in on the matter. "But I think leaving her on her own completely isn't going to do anyone any favors either." Savannah was still a civilian caught up in a group of trained professionals - she needed some kind of supervision occasionally for that reason alone. Not to mention her suicide attempt - which, while Savannah seemed to have put the incident behind her, Marty didn't doubt that things could change just as quickly. The girl had the most volatile mood swings he'd ever seen, and Marty wondered briefly if all young girls were like that or if this was a cheerleader thing.
"She needs a friend first, not someone standing guard over her." And whether he understood it or not, Savannah seemed to have decided that Marty was her friend and so he could fulfill that role for her. "I'm sure Callen has told you about the trades he's been making with her; and I think those are a good start, but if we want her to be anything more than a liability for us she'll need more than trades for classes and gymnastics partners."
