"Oh people liked me, I'm a likable kind of guy," He told her with an amused not in his voice. "It's taken a lot of work and practice to get me to this point." He chuckled, running his fingers through her hair gently. "But I wasn't good, and I've never been as happy as I've been since I've been with you. They still like me now, but this - I gave them every reason to look at me strangely now, I did that on purpose and I deserve those looks from them, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm happier with you than I've ever been before." He said as he sat down with her, giving her a little space, watching as she held the ring in her hand, instead of wearing it.
"One day you're going to believe me when I tell you you're perfect, that hasn't changed since I've met you." He assured her, wishing the smile she gave him was real. "But until then I'm going to keep reminding you of just how perfect you are and how much I love you, and how none of that is ever going to change." He covered her hand where she held up the ring between her fingers. "We are going to get married - It's going to happen Savannah. You told me back before I was even thinking about a relationship that you and I were going to be together forever, that hasn't changed. This marriage is going to happen, one way or another - I promise you that."
"No, you're not being unreasonable - we talked about this all ready. It's our wedding, it's supposed to happen the way you want it to." He could understand a bride being upset when things didn't turn out the way she wanted them to concerning her wedding. "Should I tell you how excited Sean is about it?" He asked her with a teasing smile, "He's really looking froward to getting to wear real clothes or something, apparently what he normally wears doesn't count or something." It was a distraction technique, but Marty would take what he could right then. "He's trying you know, Callen. He's trying to give us something that's close to normal - a wedding and a honeymoon. Maybe he shouldn't have told us like that, but you know how he can be."
