Re: April and Eliot
April sighed, because in a way she could see Eliot's point. She wasn't happy with these new restrictions either, even if she could see where they came from.
"They're trying to keep us safe," she said. "I might not share their views on everything, but they have their hearts in the right place. What is more, I don't have the information they do. The danger might be more imminent than any of us realize." Still, she did wonder if they remembered that people needed to live and not just survive. For all they knew this might be permanent, and the thought that her life might never again be her own to live as she chose scared her. She didn't tell Eliot that though, for no matter her own doubts and thoughts it wasn't something she would talk to him about. Or anyone who wasn't responsible for making those decisions. It wouldn't be fair to Derek and G, who had been nothing but nice to her, or to Mikey who was supposed to enforce these rules in their house.
"No one is expecting you to be happy about this, but we can only make the best of the situation at hand. If we don't adapt, we have to. The alternative is jail, and if this government gets a hold of you, who knows what they'll do to you?" She had been holding her hand up so that no one could read her lips, but talking outside still made her uncomfortable now that she couldn't wrap a scarf around her mouth. "How about we go home, and we can talk there?" she suggested.
