Re: Eric & Penny
"Really?" Eric said in surprise. "They didn't want to show you? Why on earth not?" He wondered if it was inappropriate to call them jerks, and decided not to. But really? Not teaching someone who wanted to learn how to surf? He'd even offered Savannah and he had no hope (or wish) of sleeping with her. A girlfriend he'd definitely want to teach if she was open to it.
"I'd offer to teach you here, apparently they have a few beaches here that are supposed to be nice. Unfortunately I don't even think I will have the opportunity to find out if they are or not." He smiled. "If we ever get back to LA on the other hand, I'm more than happy to show you. It's quite easy once you get the hang of it, and really there is nothing like it."
He shook his head. "Yeah no, my experience with guns and rifles are limited to the virtual kind, or were before I came here. My free time growing up was either spent at the beach or on whatever computer or console we had at the time. My parents liked to have the latest, I like playing on them, or picking them apart to see how they worked," he said with a grin.
"I know, I thought I was done with classes and school, spent more time in them than I thought I ever would," he admitted. "I did well, except for the time I got expelled, but I was so glad to be finished and out could actually get to work." And the social sciences had never really been his thing, it was more Nell's.
