Re: Sheldon and Dom
"You know that the point of a joke is to make people understand it, right? That's why most jokes use very common language and concept. The greater number of people get it, the more successful the joke," he said, wondering if that had ever occurred to Sheldon.
"The army has regulations about backyards, about trees, about the height of the grass, about the colors of the flowers," he said. "The army has regulations about everything and if you go against them, you get citations, so I doubt that we're getting artificial trees." He nodded. "Well, Savannah organizes plenty of parties, so your endorphin levels can stay at high levels on the weekend."
He thought for a moment and then shrugged. "I think it's because she can talk forever and she will reason with you until you give up, so must people have learned to just go along with what she says. I just nod. It works fine for me." He looked at the woman who was currently walking around in the shortest shorts he'd ever seen. "She's very reliable when it comes to security, training, shooting, or anything of the sort. It's the social and emotional relationships that seem to differ from the rest of the world. I'm sure Renko will figure it out soon enough." If this Renko was anything like his Renko, he probably had already figured it out and used it to flirt with her.
