Re: Dom/Jenna
"It's Sam. I'm sure there's a always a valid reason to walk around with a backpack and weapons," he said with a snort. "You know how we have to get ready during lock down? I bet that he has a bag ready every night, regardless of danger level, and I'm not even asking you to confirm that." He sighed. "I don't know. Maybe." He didn't know if he liked the idea that he could be so cold in front of dead people. "What about you? You've been to a war zone. Do you think you could get used with time?" he asked, curious to hear the answer, but not expecting anything.
"You do that, although I'm sure that he can tell you even if you feel the need. He's good that way," he said, smiling. "And it's not my fault if they can't see the advantage of targeted advertisement. You can always find people willing to shoot, but getting the geeks to help is a lot harder and a lot more rewarding. They can take over the world without leaving the room. All they need is a computer and internet access."
Dom wasn't really interested in Savannah or her ability to keep people informed. He was interested in the fact that he'd managed to get a date with Sam's daughter and he might end up dead once this was over, but he would enjoy the ride. "How about tomorrow night? After that barbecue, or whatever else they are organizing. I mean we can wait if you like but around here, who knows what else might happen tomorrow."
