Re: Sam/Renko
"Yes, he's blinded by your ugly mug," Sam deadpanned. "I'm sure you're crying about it. I always knew that your care-free attitude was hiding your unrequited love for G. I should probably talk to him and see if I can play matchmaker instead of Savannah."
He chuckled. "There might have been some development with our Doc and CIA boy," he said. "We get to hear all about it, with sighs and aww and descriptions of their future together. I'm not sure they even know about it yet, but I wouldn't put it past her. Deeks was the one who would fuck the waitress while his date was in the bathroom, and look at him now." He chuckled. "I'm sure I'll know before you do. I don't know how, but she'll find a way."
Sam shrugged. "We SEALs know how to use anything to reach a successful completion of our mission. Speaking on missions, Robert just came through. Team Six killed bin Ladden last month. I thought you might like that one."
"You need anything, you let me know, both on the setting up or getting to know people," he said, before looking at Renko. "Make sure you look at the right people. Deeks gets jealous and bad things happen, even when it's not your fault." Sam sighed. "It's not easy. The first few weeks, it was just us. Vance and Hetty were playing their games, and us... we were trying to deal with being locked up. It wasn't a good time to be here. Savannah was our first civilian and paid for it. It's why she's so intent on making everyone feel welcome. It's also why she got so close to us. It was just us. I thought that slowly you'd get used to it, but the truth is that things keep changing. Teams, people, classes. So now, I concentrate on family and don't worry on the rest. We do our job and stay alive long enough to go back to our families. " He clapped Renko's family. "You got family here, too. We take care of our own."
