Re: Mike, Sheldon, and Savannah
"Do I believe in soul mates?" He typed for about ten more seconds, then turned the computer around. "This is a statistical model I made in this reality's equivalent of R, since my request for the equivalent of MatLab has not been responded to." He paused and looked at their faces. "It's statistical modeling software. In short, what you see is a model showing the chances of meeting your soulmate. Operating under the assumption that there is one person in the world who is quote 'the one' for you, this model shows you the probability of meeting that person. The likelihood of meeting the person approaches zero. So, no, I don't believe in soul mates."
Sheldon studied the situation and the responses. "So, if I go and sit on her lap," he pointed at Jenna Hanna, "that wouldn't be considered flirting with her?" He held his hands up. "Let's assume I know her and she knows me." He needed to specify both relations of knowing, since knowing was not a transitive relation. "Oh good, I'm glad he'll have a dog soon. He needs a dog. Although cats are better. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials, by the way."
