It was rough for all of them. Robert's tone rubbed her the wrong way, maybe he was trying to help her - trying to be, she didn't know what he was trying to be but she didn't like it.
She nodded when he mentioned MarSOC, seemed they were still keeping people well informed even if they'd only been there a few days. She shouldn't be surprised really. "Afghanistan," She said and paused for a moment before adding, "Sangin."
He was right, and she hated that just a little bit. There was a part of her that wanted to worry - the part that had always worried when her dad was gone ever since she'd been old enough to realize that just because he was her dad didn't make him indestructible, but she'd learned to put a lid on that. To focus on her job, to focus on keeping herself safe before she worried about anyone else.
"Yeah, they are." She agreed with a slight lift at the corner of her mouth. She could focus on what was here, on Sean and keeping herself in one piece. "You work much with SEALs?"
