Re: Robert and Jenna
Jenna narrowed her eyes at Robert's comment, though she might have relaxed just a fraction, not enough to give away anything of herself - or what thoughts were running through her mind right then, but she wasn't so stiff.
She nodded, she needed to talk to Sean - not just because Peter was in charge of Sean's team, but because someone had died and that was her brother. "Yeah, Sean's on his team." She wished she'd talked to Peter more, or talked to Sean more about the man - so she knew something of what her brother must be feeling now.
Looking at Robert from the corner of her eye Jenna, bit the inside of her lip, unwilling to give away that much just yet. She knew that feeling he talked about though. Hearing when another platoon had been attacked, when guys were out pulling patrol and they got into a firefight - you always wondered who was next, if it was someone you knew.
"You can't know that." She said slowly, she didn't like the way his guess hit so close to home. "They don't know there is anything wrong, doesn't change the fact that there is." If Robert had gotten the same warnings she had not to mention anything to her dad or the rest of the people who lived in their house then he knew that. Platitudes didn't help anyone.
