Summary: There's one more person they need to retrieve
Leon hated delays. He understood why they happened, the political maneuvers that each agency and branch of the military did to protect itself and its funding. However, Leon was still not pleased when it took over twenty-four hours for them to receive something critical.
This time, there was no need to bother Hetty from creating a file on their new arrival. They had gotten it, courtesy of the NYPD. The identity in their own dimension was also not an issue. With the paperwork done, there was only one thing left to do.
Leon walked to the Team Center. Classes had resumed, but not for long, it seemed. "Ladies and gentlemen, sorry to interrupt. Mr. Callen, I need you and your team out here." He nodded toward Eric. "You too, Mr. Beal." He walked out, going to the lounge and waiting for all of the to follow him. Leon tossed the file on the desk. "There was an attempted break in at Navy Yard in our DC, Maryland here. It happened early hours yesterday morning. I didn't hear about it until a few minutes ago. The intruder escaped, but his face was caught on camera. It was one Michael Renko, NYPD detective who went missing on February 26, 2011. The same day that multiple experiments created multiple rifts and we couldn't get to everyone. Mr. Beal, I need you in the Op room, start looking for Mr. Renko's location. He couldn't have gone far."
He turned to Callen and Sam. "He's been off the radar for three months and has made his way from California to DC. Obviously, he's looking for us, and the fact that he wasn't able to get inside makes me think that he'll try again. Find him before he does. Your cover is that your federal agents, take a car with lights, forget the speed limit. Mr. Callen, you might want to leave your classroom to someone else. I'll be monitoring from here. Bring up back safely."
