Re: G and Robert
"Both breathing would be the optimal way of doing this." It would require them to get out of this dimension alive first. But, G would be damned if he was going to get a brother just to lose him, either there or at home. He wanted his answers, but not at the cost of his brother. No way in hell.
Still, he groaned at mention of birthday gifts. "Let's make my birthday a secret, too. You're only allowed to know it if you promise not to make a big deal of it...and never, ever tell Savannah when it is. I'll never be left alone if she gets that date." No matter how big this strange mish-mash of people he called family got, that was going to be one day when he would always remember how much his parents hadn't wanted him, how far from whole he was despite his pretenses otherwise.
At least, G supposed, if he was still this bad at it, he knew he wasn't subconsciously hiding behind a mask. "Really bad. And, yet, still better than six months ago, if that tells you anything. I blame Savannah. She likes it when I share things. Sam's easier. He's learned to read me so well I don't have to say things most of the time. It makes for a perfect partnership in the field. And...he is that important."
