Nothing major was good for G and he nodded as Dom went on, opening the beer he'd pulled from the ice just before Dom found him. "So, the Hollywood stereotype of the genius geek." That was fine with G. It might make communication...interesting...but G could deal with it so long as the know-it-all part that usually came with the genius part was restricted to areas the guy was actually an expert in.
Chuckling, G took a pull of his beer. "You might have impressed a few others with that fact, too." Nodding, he considered the assessment. He'd have to see for himself, of course, but this Dom wasn't the raw kid G had known, even if that was still who he saw whenever he looked at him. He wouldn't dismiss the observation out of hand. "I'll be running evals for the new people Monday afternoon. If he wants to try it, I can run him through the qualification test unofficially and see how he does. If you're okay with tutoring him in it, you can sit in on that as well, if you'd like. Get an idea of what you can work with him on."
