Re: Marty and Robert
Robert found this barbecue thing charming. It must be how the lower classes partied, granted it wasn't much different than how they partied at the base, but at home or off base, things would have been much different. None of the women here proved to be of any interest either, wearing jeans and covering themselves up. One thing you had to say about Italian women: they loved their miniskirts, especially in the summer. The shorter, the better. Something that Robert appreciated. Here, there was only Savannah, who had great legs, but a need for marriage that wasn't Robert's thing.
So he was staring at her leg when the fiance arrived. Robert took the beer and nodded in thanks. "I'm good, all things considered. Still no car, or plane, or money, or a nice bottle of champagne with Russian caviar on toasted Italian bread," he said, almost imaging the salty flavored washed down by the bubbling wine. "I guess a beer will have to do," he said, sighing.
He looked when Deeks sit down, already suspicious. "Moving from building to building and sleeping in a room with pink sheets. Not exactly my idea of settling in, but we'll deal with that too."
