"I believe the questions Mr. Callen has will take precedence over any questions we might have for you later." G heard Hetty's reply as if through water, his brain still trying to wrap around the simple confirmation from Vance.
He had a brother.
A real one who shared his blood and his family history, whatever it was, and who kind of looked like him now that he let himself see the man, Robert, for the first time.
G wasn't really sure he was up for the sort of conversation that could inevitably follow. But, Hetty's hand resting on his shoulder for a moment so brief he would have missed it if he wasn't as trained in observation as he was, brought him back to the room and out of his head enough to focus on what...his brother...was saying. "We'll go to my house," he said, standing up and silently daring Vance or Hetty to try telling him no. This was not a conversation he intended to have here. This became a family matter as soon as that damned machine beeped. "We've got a spare bed. You can crash there tonight, when we're done." And that would open the way to getting him out of the hotel and into the house. Morgan and Burke could go to hell if they thought they'd talk G into letting either of them take responsibility for his brother.
"Director. Hetty." Nodding to each in turn, he didn't wait to be dismissed. Vance could read him the riot act for it in the morning.
