Re: Savannah/Marty
"I wasn't asking you to put on an uniform and to start doing flips," she answered, smiling, "but you could be a base. A base needs courage and arm strength, and you seem to have both. That's not being involved in a sport. It takes daily training to be a cheerleader. However, I do trust you, and if I fall-" She shrugged. "It wouldn't be the first time, and from a lot higher heights."
Savannah nodded. "We'll see how it goes." She looked at him coyly. "I wouldn't tell them." Not that she expected him to really tell her, but the idea of them not knowing something, even something irrelevant like a middle name, made her feel better.
"We'll be figure skating stars," she joked. "And that's right, you are going faster than two senior citizens who could break all of their bones if they'd fall." Savannah squeezed his hands and asked him if he was ready and then started to skate. She moved to the inner side of the circle, away from the wall where there were less people and began to go faster, not as fast as she'd be able to go on a normal rink, but fast enough that they made two full laps before the song was even over, and then slowed down gradually. When they were back to a slow pace, she turned around again, closing some of the space she'd put between them to make sure that they wouldn't get hurt. "So was that fun or not?"
