Re: Savannah/Marty
Why did Marty feel like he was going to be pulled into this whether he wanted to or not? "I'm really not that guy though, I mean ... yeah, I've never done anything like that. And I don't think you really want to practice being dropped." Not that he wouldn't try if he actually did end up in that kind of a situation, but Marty was just not at all confident about his ability to play cheerleader.
Savannah clearly had issues with G, but then she had issues with most people. Marty was just glad she was talking to him and they seemed to be enjoying themselves at least.
"Martin it is." He agreed, the things he did to make sure Savannah was happy. "I'll get used to it, eventually." He assured her when she told him she'd only use the name sparingly. "It's a secret." He told her with a grave expression on his face. "And I never tell anyone my middle name, not since I was seven."
It was ridiculous that he was being praised by a kid for his new found skating skills, but he'd take it. "Yes you did, I guess this means we're only a few more tries away from our official Olympic bid then." Savannah moved more easily without him holding her back, and it was clear she was confident on the ice the way she moved circling around him with little jumps and quick bursts of speed. "I'm sure it's just a popular a destination here as it is back home." He told her, he wasn't surprised at all the people out there on the ice with them. He started moving just a bit faster, not fast by most people's estimations, but in his own way at least. "This is kind of fun," He said after a while. "You know, freezing, but fun."
