G couldn't help raising an eyebrow at news of not one, but two new arrivals. Still, a part of him could feel the tingle of anticipation. This was something real to do for the first time in months and close enough to his 'home court' to almost feel normal. Work had rarely sent him to that part of California. But, McClellan meant they'd be within driving distance the Bay Area, Alameda county and parts east, places he was familiar with from his college days. No cameras, no faces, no names...that was just another day on the job. And, if Nell was pulling 'what we have', G was sure it'd be enough material to keep them busy for hours and let them hit the ground running as soon as they landed at McClellan.
"On our way, Sir." G waited just long enough for a formal dismissal before taking his leave.
He'd explain when he got back to the house. But, he started sending texts as soon as the door to Vance's office was closed behind him. There was one to Sam telling him to have everyone meet him in the kitchen to be briefed on an op when he got back. Sam, Deeks, and Savannah could be briefed and they could make arrangements for the kids in case of an evac while they were gone. The next went to Eric telling him to get his gear together for a trip and they'd pick him up in thirty minutes, which allowed time for G to get home and brief everyone else. They could brief Eric on the way to Ft. Dix. The last text went to Hetty with a request for funds and equipment they might need but didn't have stocked at the house.
By the time he got back to the house, things should already be in motion.
