G resisted the urge to rub absently at the back of his neck or in any other way show how uncomfortable he still was with that level of opening up to another person that wasn't Sam, even if it was his choice. He'd made the choice to share parts of himself when it would help get them information out of witnesses and suspects, like when he'd shared the cliff's notes version of what had happened to Jason with Alex Waldorf. If he could do that, he could share some of the truth of himself with someone he considered both friend and family.
When Deeks spoke, G merely nodded. He wasn't going to push. He'd nudged, given Deeks something to think about and hopefully cemented the idea he was family no matter what the status of his relationship with Savannah. "Understood. Why don't we give it a few days, try again Wednesday or Thursday. We'll get Sam involved and really push so you can focus on that."
He watched the younger man for a moment before adding, "I"m not going to make you talk to me. You know where to find me if you need to and I know that fear. But, it's your choice whether you let it continue to control you. Just, think about it."
