Marty woke slowly, he'd have been happy to linger in bed there for a while longer curled around Savannah keeping her close, maybe even nuzzling in against her shoulder to steal a few more minutes before they had to get up and start the day. But then Savannah was sitting up, pulling away from him and putting space between them.
That was certainly an ominous way to start a conversation, Marty had started any number of conversations like that himself and they were never fun to have. So he rubbed the sleep from his eyes and sat up too, because whatever it was he wasn't going to talk about it laying down while Savannah was sitting there in the middle of the bed.
