Re: Savannah and G
"Three unit that are under Vance's jurisdiction, which means that responsibility lands there. Isn't that how it's supposed to work according to you, yes?" She knew that what G said didn't always apply to himself, but she wasn't about to give up this quickly. "I'm pretty sure that by your own standards, it means that you aren't responsible and I'll try to remind you. Y'know, when I'm watching out for you."
Savannah laughed. "You don't do reassuring well, not unless there is something really bad happening. Then you're amazing. but when it's more like just talking, then you're really bad." She kissed his cheek and smiled at him. "Stick with what you know best. It's why we love you."
Of course, then there was the question that she'd been waiting. Not that she had waited for this exact one, but she had expected some sort of question, possibly from Marty, but it had never come.
"I didn't say I wouldn't get married, but that he doesn't want to, and if he doesn't want to, then there can't be forever. I'm not going to be with someone like that. I'm already doing something that's wrong. I should be with him, shouldn't have sex with him if we aren't married, but I thought it would happen, and now, I'm pretty sure it won't, and I can't stay with him like that." She sighed. "I've been thinking about it, and I can't see a way out. The word marriage sends him running, and I can't be with someone unless there is a marriage. Maybe he was right all along, and we shouldn't have gotten together in the first place. I'd say that I'll tell you if we break up, but I'm sure you'll find out even without me saying anything."
She looked at him again. "If it happens, do you think I can turn the office into a bedroom, since Jenna took my room? I'll need a new bed and a wardrobe since there's no closet in there, although I'm sure one can be done easily in a corner."
