Re: Sam/G
G nodded, relieved to hear a believable I'm fine. "If we're talking the Agency, I'm more likely to assume the first," he replied with a quiet huff. G and the CIA weren't a happy combination. "But, we'll give him some time to talk to Burke himself and then I'll check in with Burke about it if Burke doesn't bring it up at Sunday's meeting." It might get him accusations of digging for information, but whatever that power was, it definitely would need to be trained.
Preferably with some tempering to the usual CIA mentality.
"I wasn't planning on talking to him today," he added, returning the kiss with a slight smile. "I thought I'd take my partner up on his wise suggestion of taking more time for ourselves and let the kids fend for themselves for dinner tonight. We can take ours in our room and pretend we know how to relax like normal people." And if he took the opportunity to look after Sam a little more, discretely, he couldn't really be blamed.
