Neal: open
Neal had helped April out a little bit with the house although she hadn't needed much help. It was a small service followed by a reception at theirs and it wasn't like there were masses of people. Neal's tastes ran more refined than most and therefore he'd let April get on with the catering, deciding that she'd pick things that everybody would like.
It was weird attending a service for a woman he barely knew. He thought he'd spoken to Abby once or twice but nothing more than that; they hadn't got anything in common and truth be told, Neal found her a little too kooky for his liking.
Making chit-chat with several people, Neal generally made sure everyone had enough of everything and wished, not for the first time, that he was at a real party in New York City with good alcohol and good food. He really missed that and although the people were nice here, it just didn't compare.
