Mission: Abby Sciuto
Who: Sam, Abby, Others?
Where: the base
When: April 27 , 2011
Summary: Sam makes preparations for his plans
Sam knew that the best way to raise suspicions was to act suspiciously. Instead, he told G that he needed to do some work in the afternoon, and then went to Hetty's house. This time, he rang the bell and waited for Abby to open the door.
He smiled at her, even thought she went from smiling to frowning the moment she saw him. It didn't matter, because she wasn't a colleague anymore, but a mission. He had a job to do and personal feelings had no place while he did his job. "Hetty asked me to meet her here," he said as he got inside, although he didn't have to bother. She barely acknowledged him, turning her back on him, making his job even easier.
Stepping closer from behind, he grabbed her into a chokehold, careful to render her unconscious without leaving any marks. He kept her in his arms until all traces of life disappeared and then he carried her to her room. Sam lay her on the bed, and then proceeed with his plan.
He was very meticulous even though there was little chance that anyone would be suspicious. First a text to Hetty:
I was visiting with Abby. She's not feeling well. You might want to check on her later. The text was enough to place him at the scene if anyone had seen him in and it ensured that Hetty would be the one to find her.
With that, he put on the latex gloves before taking out the syringe and the vial with the liquid. Filling it up, he let some out to make sure that there was no air. Everything had to look exactly right, which meant no puncture wounds. April wasn't experienced enough to find a hole between her toes or her scalp, but Sam didn't want to risk it, instead he injected her through her belly button, making sure that no one would find anything. Temazepam would be quickly absorbed through the system, that gave him the time to go to Hetty's room and get the vial with the pills. He opened it up and put it on her night stand, and then went to the kitchen to get a bottle of water. He opened it and poured some out. When he returned, he raised her body so he could press the bottle against her lips, staining the top with her lipstick. Then he turned her computer on and opened her word processor:
People that kill themselves always write notes, that's what they tell us at NCIS, so I guessed I should write one too. You know, for the person in charge of the case. I don't want anyone to go crazy, although if you're good, you still have to consider that it's an homicide because that's the way it works, but I still want to write.
April, I'm so glad I got to know you. You're the one that made this place bearable.
Mike, thank you for making me smile and not making me want to kill people, because I could have never done that.
To everyone else, this is for the best. I know I'm going to get someone killed, but I can't - I just can't hurt someone, even if they are trying to kill us.
If you fine your way back, tell Gibbs that I miss him and I love him and I'm so sorry.
Abby
Sam left it open, before going back to the bed. Her breathing was slowing down and her pulse wasweak. Sam put away the syringe and the vial to dispose of them at home, took the latex gloves off and sat on a nearby chair, reciting his prayers until she took her last breath. Making sure that she was dead, Sam finally left the house.
His mission was complete.
