Re: Sean and Mike
"Nah, it started out as a taunt, actually." Sean laughed at the memory. "During the first few weeks of my first year, I had a run-in with a fourth year trying to scare me out of a practice room he wanted to use. He made some crack about uppity first years and who did I think I was, the next Yardbird? A petite Zoizeau? Rather than let it get to me, I ran with it. I'm good and I could play circles around him. Eventually most people forgot why he started calling me it in the first place." He shrugged as he finished the story. He'd kept the nickname for awhile at Juilliard, mostly to annoy his dad. But, once he got over that, he let it drop.
"But, yeah, I can imitate their style. Got a few of their pieces in the repertoire. You and Savannah want to set up a gig, I'll play you anything you like." Any excuse to play as far as Sean was concerned. "Speaking of Savannah, though, I should probably go make amends for not playing and see if she needs a hand with the non-barbeque food."
