Re: John and Mike
"She..." John stopped. Was? Is? Had his mom survived to see J-Day? Had she survived the holocaust launched by Skynet? There was no way of knowing now and no way to know when he'd get back to find out. "She was."
Nodding, he thought over Westen's words for a moment. "Something I'd been thinking about was remote detonation, something we can set off from a distance by phone, rather than risk someone staying behind and possibly getting caught in the blast." John would do anything he could to avoid another Charlie. There wouldn't be anyone staying behind to play hero if he could help find ways around that eventuality. "Something else I was thinking, going along with the idea of an offensive component, is layer the blast areas. One near the center of the house, one around the inner perimeter of the house, and one midway between the house and the perimeter of the property. It would serve to put a few obstacles between us and them, perhaps cut them off from each other, and with the houses as close as they are, the explosions will feed off each other. With the remote detonation each layer could be set off independently of the others to give everyone time enough to get out."
