Tim
So maybe he'd been more than a little disappointed at the way the game had been called, but Tim had been having a good time for the first time since they arrived. The weather was actually bearable they yard smelled like grilled meat, they had a football and he had a more than decent team - he didn't know why they had to call it as soon as the scores were tied up. It really wouldn't have taken that much longer to play out a full game. And it wasn't like they had anything else left to do for the day.
He sighed and ended up finding himself a beer and wandering over to the grills to check that they were still being used the way they were meant to be.
Despite the frustration of not being able to play, Tim had enjoyed the day. It was something normal and fun in the midst of all the rest of the insanity they had to deal with normally. It was a good break and he was glad they'd been able to pull it together. It was almost like being at home - if being at home meant he had to play football with a bunch of pansies.
