Re: Sam/Jenna
Jenna nodded, she could do that much at least. It was the rest she wasn't so sure about. But so long as that part stayed good she could focus on figuring out the rest.
This was almost like those times that she and Sean laid together, letting him be the bigger one for once and not talking about what she did, just because it wasn't important then. Only here with her dad she didn't have to talk about it because he got it - in a way Sean never could, or anyone else who tried to tell her things would get better, or that she didn't have to feel guilty about anything that had happened in Afghanistan. She didn't have to talk about it - not yet, not if she didn't want to - and he could accept that from her.
She was content to just sit quietly though for now, taking her dad at his promise that when those things he talked about became an issue he would be there for her to talk to. And they could figure it out together when the time came.
"So you and G, huh." She said because there wasn't anything else to say about her and these compromises and promises, it was all just a waiting game. But they could talk about this, if there was anything left to say.
