Re: Savannah/Marty
"I've played more games than you, and I haven't played many," she said, smiling. "And I said that it's not even a sport for the kids in junior high. Frisbee is not a sport. At best, it's wasting time."
She nodded. "That it does. I told you how family gatherings got when the football talk started." Savannah grinned. "What? I like to win. Why should I let someone else win if I'm the best at something? And I always have fun when I win. Always," she said, nodding. "We'll never do a real game, not with the people involved. Everyone just wants to toss a ball. I'm telling you, they'll make us play baseball soon."
She looked at him like he'd lost his mind. "You mean besides the kickbacks, illegal sponsorships, point shavings, fake grades, oh no, never. No one would ever do something illegal to make sure that the football team wins. Unthinkable, really." Savannah shook her head. "No, I said that he's a good captain and a good football players. I've met plenty of football players that were creeps. I just happen to like him as well, but that's not related to his abilities on the field."
