Re: Savannah/Marty
"I watched when we played USC I think that counts." Marty said - but then you always watched when you played USC no matter the sport. "Though I'll give you that you've watched more games than me," He didn't have a reason to be at the games the way Savannah did. "Oh come on frisbee is like the official college sport, everyone knows that - I can't believe you'd say it was for teenagers."
"And football runs in your veins." Marty nodded - he might not really get it, not the way Tim seemed to, but he could understand somethings were a part of Savannah simply because of where she was from. It didn't matter that she'd moved, and it didn't matter that she was here now - Texas and Memphis and all of those things had shaped her and they stayed with her now. "I know you don't, believe me this is one thing I have noticed about you." He assured her with a chuckle. "Maybe you don't have to take it all so seriously though, it's just a game and we're just having fun today. The next time we play we can do a real game with set quarters and official scoring and the works."
"Is there much scheming in the wide world of football?" Marty asked, surprised as he quirked an eyebrow in question at her. Scheming wasn't really something that he associated with football, but it was becoming rapidly apparent that Marty didn't see football the way Tim and Savannah did. "Captain huh?" Marty said glancing over at Tim again, who looked like he could have only had a better day if they'd actually been able to finish playing the game and his team had won. "So he's a good guy, is that what you're getting at?"
