Re: Savannah/Marty
"No, that doesn't count, and you didn't watch nearly enough, anyway," she said, chuckling. "We were there at every game, whether we wanted to or not." She snorted. "Frisbee? Really? I don't think that even counts for the under fourteen crowd., let alone grown people who go to college."
Savannah rolled her eyes. "It's football and we're from Texas. He's a football player, and I'm a cheerleader. Granted, I moved to Memphis, but you don't stop caring about football... or anything else," she admitted. "I don't like to lose. I even won the dance off, even though I gave the money away to Marti, but I couldn't let her win. I couldn't let anyone win. I do my best and try to win."
She kissed him again. "There you go, being silly all over again. Of course they don't shoot players during the game. The real dangerous part is after the game, it's all the scheming that comes with the sport. Everyone knows that." Savannah looked at Tim and nodded. "Yes, he is. It's easy to see why he was Captain and why they won state. Difficult not to with a running back like that, especially if the rest of the team was following him, and that's really the only way a team wins."
