He poured two glasses, and leaned back, wondering what she was going to say, and maybe it was obvious, because she seemed to know without wanting to know.
Sam shook his head. "No, we don't have to, but I didn't think it was right that Sean knew and not you." He sighed. "You know, maybe asking would make you wonder and worry less. I know your brother had this strange idea that another person would mean less time for him, and if you're thinking anything along those lines, then I can assure you that it's not true." He reached over and squeezed her hand. "Whatever relationship I'm in would never impact our relationship, okay? I love you; you're my daughter and you and Sean come before anyone else, but all right, you don't have to know if you aren't ready."
