"Maybe it's something to do more often, at least until we go from 70 to 90 overnight, and then it gets too hot." He knew the weather here changed dramatically, so he didn't think this weather would last long.
When they got inside, he went to the kitchen and opened the fridge. He grabbed the pitcher of sweat tea and bringing to the table. He took two glasses as well. "Do you want something else instead?" he asked.
Settling down around the kitchen table, he took a sip, before staring at his daughter. "I wanted to talk to you about something. I know I promised that I wouldn't say anything until you asked me and were ready to know, but your brother and I talked and he knows who I'm involved with, and we don't have to talk about it, but I wanted you to know, and I wanted to give you the possibility of asking if that was what you wanted."
