Re: Savannah/Marty
"I will so talk to Derek, and G." Maybe not G, he'd been weird lately. Maybe he needed a vacation, too, not that she was going to suggest that to him.
The suggestion made her roll her eyes, and that because she knew that he actually didn't mean anything bad by it. "That's not how you play football, and you don't just call it quits after we score. You're supposed to play four quarters, fixed time. You make it sound like we want to quit."
"And again, I say: it's football." It seemed pretty simple to her. Tim got it, why didn't Marty. "He is. We tried out together, he was Alice's boyfriend back then, and he was my base. I helped him with the moves, and we both made it obviously.
She put an arm around him, leaning against his side. Savannah looked up when he accused her of pummeling him. Maybe she had tried too hard, but she didn't want anyone to think that she'd go easy on her boyfriend. That and she was still upset about the no marriage thing, not that he would tell anyone that. It was ridiculous, she knew. She couldn't force him to marry her, and she wanted him even without a marriage. She just wished that they could get married. "I didn't hurt you, and I wasn't the only one on the defensive line, but next time I'll take it easy since you can't play with a girl."
