Re: Sam/Sean
"It's sad that I dated while pretending to be straight," he said. "It's not that we didn't date, but that it wasn't me. I tried to do what I thought normal men my age did. If I hadn't, she wouldn't have gotten pregnant. And it's not that I equate the two, but that there has never been a time when I could do it. I'm still reserve and I can still be dishonorably discharged if anyone finds out."
Sam chuckled. "I know who I am, Sean and what's good and what's not. I also know what G wants and too much normality might make him even more paranoid than he is. This is good for us. Really." He had never had such long conversation with his son, but even more to the point, he had never joked with Sean and now the perfect opportunity was there and he debated if he should do it for about half a second before deciding to go for broke. "Nah, he wouldn't. He knows that if he shoots you, he wouldn't get laid." He winked at Sean as he stood up. "Go on and practice. There's someone else who needs to know what's going on. You can call it dating if you like. Night, Sean."
