Re: Sam/Sean
"I've been thanking your mother from the day you were born," he answered. No matter how their personal relationship had ended, he would always be grateful to her for giving him two beautiful children and for allowing him to be a part of their lives, even when he probably didn't deserve it. "She's one special woman, and I can forgive her being right about this. It's hardly a hardship to have my family here."
Sam laughed. "We do things. At least when we were home. We're just very careful about what we do, what names we use, what credit card we use. The point isn't not to do things, but to be prepared when doing them. Here is a little harder, but we adapt." He shook his head. "You'll never be that paranoid, because you see people and see life. I see that many people and think of all the way someone can get killed. I don't even have to consciously think about, it comes naturally. Distances, trajectories, covers, blind spots. Have you noticed the mirrors downstairs? They are placed so that we don't have blind spots, the heavy curtains on top of the blinds, so that people can't see inside. It was the first thing I did when we came into the house. If I could board them up and not look suspicious, I'd do it in a moment. So no, I don't think you run the risk of becoming that paranoid."
He looked at Sean and sighed. "Won't say a word to anyone. No one knows, Sean. You say it's obvious, but the only people who know are Savannah and Deeks, and now you; Jenna has skirted the issue a few times, but until she's ready to talk about it, I'm not pushing it. When she is, then we sit down and talk. You can tell me what you're comfortable with and what bothers you, because this house is the only place G and I can be ourselves. Not that we're the most demonstrative people," he said with a snort, "but I'd still like to know if you're okay with seeing me involved with someone."
