Re: Jenna and Dom
"I have a pretty healthy appreciation for math." She told him with a grin, probably no where near what Dom did - if his self-proclaimed geekhood was anything to go by.
She bit her lip considering him, she didn't actually spend any real time with men who weren't Marines. She didn't sleep with Marines because that just opened up so many doors she was not interested in going anywhere near, but she didn't exactly stick around for a relationship with any of the civilians she'd slept with either. She didn't need that, not at this point in her life. She had her unit, she had friends, she had her mother and her brother, and once in a while her dad came around and that had always been enough. So this whole dealing with people who were just interested in knowing her because they could? It was new.
"Sorry," She said shaking her head. "I'm guessing it's pretty obvious, but I don't do this very often." She said giving him a sheepish smile. "I'd like that, to get to know each other, have some fun all of that." She said. "I'm just used to dealing with Marines, you know? It's always about the mission, small bits about our families, not really much past that, we keep each other sane but you don't really talk too much about what you do when you're not deployed. You save all of that for when you're home, for when you're actually there and you can enjoy it instead of just making yourself sick missing everything you can't do there."
She arched an eyebrow at him when he told her about Deeks because from what she'd seen that didn't seem like he was telling her about the same man. "He seems pretty infatuated from what I've seen." She told him, "And I'm pretty sure Savannah would have a heart attack if anyone told her about hotel rooms you could rent by the hour."
