"I know," she said calmly. She was the cheery one, the one that looked at the bright side, but she wasn't going to lie to him or try to make it sound like everything was all right. "The point I was trying to make is that G and Sam might take that as an indication that you never have control and that's not true. Last night was more the exception than the rule, and you need to let them know that, unless you want me to. I can speak with G and you two don't have to talk."
Savannah cupped his cheeks and kissed him again. "Don't hide from me. Nothing you say it's going to make me stop loving you. I will talk some sense into you, though and that includes telling you that you shouldn't say that to G. You want to tell him that you had no control, fine. But if you tell him that you knew that Sam wouldn't hurt me and you still tried to kill Sam, he will kill you for real." She sighed. "Baby, I love you, and it's kinda romantic that you love me so much that you'd kill for me, but you need to get a grip. You can hurt a lot of people with that, and... it's too easy to use me against you if people find out, and yes, I know I sound like G, but I love you and I want you safe, or as safe as possible."
