Everyone but Savannah would be perfectly happy to ignore this one part of what happened the night before, but Marty knew that before she said it. It was how things worked with Savannah, the others took care of the surface issues, things that were more easily dealt with - and Savannah had always been the one to take care of the rest, what was beneath anything he did or said.
Then her fingers like ice were against that bruise on his jaw, soothing it while she spoke. "I didn't have control last night." He might have had control with Savannah, might have learned how to pick and choose what he did in her mind, how he went at making her do things, but what he'd done to Sam? That was not control.
"I know Sam wouldn't have killed you," And he did, Sam kept his team safe, Sam killed the people who tried to come after his team, he didn't kill his own team. That was why they were training, so they could all do that. "I would have killed him, if Callen hadn't been there, if he hadn't stopped me. I wanted him to feel what you did, to feel what that was like for you. I wouldn't have stopped though." He held her just a bit tighter while he spoke, not really meeting her eyes, speaking to her shoulder.
