RP: Sean and Jenna Who: Sean and Jenna Hanna Where: The House When: 30 March 2011, evening Summary: A little time for the siblings
So the thing was, Jenna knew, some of what had happened on Sunday morning had been her own fault - she'd stopped thinking like a Marine and just let herself be Jenna, thinking like a sister and a daughter and she hadn't kept that objectivity she'd learned to use in some situations. She hadn't realized she'd need that in a place that was meant to be her home - with someone who was supposed to be her father.
She wouldn't make that mistake again.
She pushed herself during the training and sat through the classes and got her gun qualifications taken care of and made sure she was always at the top of her game, she didn't need to give anyone any chance to say anything about her - not about her commitment, her abilities, or her drive. And when she wasn't working she ran, she ran for hours trying to keep her head clear, she avoided spending anytime with her dad that wasn't strictly necessary, mostly because she didn't know what she would say to him. Whether she'd be able to hold on to all that hurt and jealousy and confusion and anger that had welled up inside her on Sunday. She couldn't give him, more than anyone else, the opportunity to tell her she wasn't good enough.
And when she wasn't training or in classes or running she was in her room. Tonight though she couldn't just sit there and keep pushing everything away. She thought for a brief moment about finding her dad, asking if he'd talk to her, but quickly pushed that thought away after she remembered how they'd ended things on Sunday. He was probably busy with something anyway.
So Jenna went to Sean's room instead. The others were nice enough she supposed, she hadn't really talked much to anyone since they arrived, not even the people who were living there in the same house with them. She knocked and told him it was her and asked if she could come in before opening the door.
"Hey," She said as she closed the door behind her. "You mind if I hide out in here with you for a bit? My rooms a bit too quiet."
