"As long as you can live with it," G replied, his serious tone belied by the slight smirk. He never would understand her views on her weight. But, as long as she was healthy and not killing herself for a few supposedly extra pounds, he'd learned long ago to just go with it.
"It's okay, Savannah. I wasn't questioning you so much as not liking what it all added up to. If this is something similar to Vance's power and you are sensing rifts opening, I'm not sure what it means." For her, them, or this dimension. It looked like G was going to have to have a conversation with Dom and John that was likely to go mostly over his head. "Do keep track now, though. Until I know what we're dealing with..." he shook his head. This he didn't like. What did it mean that there were rifts here? Was that something they'd created in using the machine? Something that had happened because of what was done in Omega?
"You guess what?" he asked, frowning a moment. Then he snorted. "The Force was already strong with you, young Skywalker. But, I also know Vance couldn't sense things on the other side at first, either. John told us some of how it worked when everyone got here." And he wasn't going to mention the part where it was only Vance's ability that let them get here. If John's hypothesis was right and the strain on his mind was what killed him, G wasn't risking Savannah until they knew more. And he knew if he told her they had no other way of navigating, she'd push herself until she could do it. She might anyway, but G wasn't giving her a reason to until he knew he had no other choice. "About all we can do right now is for you to keep me posted when it happens, let me know what you do sense." And hope they didn't have to go rescue some hapless new arrival landing themselves in a nest somewhere.
