Re: Eliot/Morgan
And this was why Eliot had wanted to leave to begin with - the hypocracy. Eliot had tried to push it off and move on, but Morgan and to go and piss him off. "So it don't matter none that I've done nothing but fully cooperate and work with the team, and getting involved with people, since August of 2011, minus one or two hiccoughs like everyone else has had. Choosing to put my child first is so damned wrong and we can't be trusted because of it. What the hell, man? What kind of psycho-profiling-bullshit leads to that sort of thinking? You should be more concerned about the people who don't appear to give a second thought about their kids. Wait, I forgot, they're all 'family' and so they don't have to worry about things like Robert not helping April when she was pregnant, or leaving Eve behind because he despises us.
"We left because we were told we were going to a very harsh environment and that wouldn't be suitable for a pregnant woman. We got lambasted for having to discuss whether to go to New York or not, knowing we could be walking right into a trap with our child, but we chose to go because we wanted to help with the recovery effort. And she and I were pretty much the only two who did anything to help - me at ground zero and her with the DNA identification - while most everyone else hung out and trained cozily at the base. It's hypocritical horse crap.
"But from what you've said, ya'll've made up your mind that we're backturning leeches who haven't done shit ever and we should be kissing everyone's moral and rightous feet. Well, if you want to blame someone, blame me. April's constantly questioned us leavin' and is glad to be back with everyone. I'm the one who didn't want her or Eve in that environment, and since she takes vows seriously she wasn't about to return on her own.
"So if we're done here, I'll go back to being a selfish jerk who cares more about his child than anything else and you can return to leading the faithful."
