Re: Savannah/Twins/Travis/Anyone
"The children's world consists of the people around here, and I can hurt all of them, and if I can't, my very unbiased husband or one of his seconds who happens to have a child of his own and to be my adopted uncle, can totally find plenty of creative ways to make people regret what they say," she said with the sweetest smile.
Travis laughed. "And since we are not masochists, we might have to drop all the discussion about hands," he said, but he leaned back and kissed TJ. He didn't move away when they broke apart. He could live without the sex if they had this intimacy, even if he was still coming to terms with what he'd told TJ after the shooting. Was he really considering marriage? Yes, better not think about it before he'd have bigger problems.
"Good choice," Savannah said, while she was still looking at the girls. "I don't think so though. I mean, I get that children go through a rebellious stage. Pretty much everyone here as done it at some point if you look at our histories, but I can't imagine the children doing it with any serious intent. They are our entire world. Not just the parents, but the family, the extended family, the friends. If it's one thing they will always know is how much they are loved regardless of opinions. Marty and I don't even share the same opinions and the children will hear them both, and they will make the choices, but they will know that we will always have their backs." She reached over and squeezed Marty's arm. "It's what parents should be doing."
