Re: Tommy/Maura/Oliver/Anyone
Looking up, Maura motioned at TJ to make room before waving Tommy down. "Sit. Let me look at you."
Not that she really needed to look to see that his skin was indeed turning rather purple. But, she did need to do a quick examination, check his vitals and his breathing. There were any number of conditions that came to mind that could cause purple skin, from Cutaneous porphyrias to Cyanosis, COPD and emphysema to cyanotic heart disease and pulmonary embolisms; all of them serious and not a one had she ever seen create quite that shade of purple. But, she wouldn't rule anything out based on a guess without even attempting to gather a few facts. Just because it looked more like the full-body purple version of Claudia's thumb didn't make it automatically related. Maybe she couldn't run tests, but she could be as thorough as possible, even if it wasn't much, to make sure she wasn't giving him false information. At least, to the best of her ability.
Reaching for her bag, she took out her stethoscope. "Any trouble breathing? Chest pains? Are you on any drugs right now? Has anything else strange happened other than this? Anything out of the ordinary right before you noticed the change? Have you eaten anything odd, come into contact with any plants or animals?"
