Re: Troy/Nell/Maura/Others
"I told you there were things that could be cool and yucky at the same time," Nell said with a laugh. She kissed his cheek. "You did very well."
Maura was right there with a new dressing as soon as the bullet was free, pressing it to the wound to stem the bleeding. Travis couldn't afford to lose any more blood than necessary and she didn't want to leave open wounds longer than necessary in these conditions. Once it was taped in place, she shook her head. "No, that's all for now. Nell is correct. You did very well, both of you. You can toss your gloves in that bag over there." She stopped for a moment, thinking. "Actually, Troy? Are you strong enough with your power to hold Travis immobile during the surgery? We don't have any general anesthesia and I'm going to need someone to hold him down when he reacts to the pain or I could do more damage if he moves. It would be better for him, less stress on his body, if you could use that power to do it. There will be a lot of blood and it's going to hurt him a lot."
