Re: Troy/Nell/Maura/Others
Oh right, and the woman was as cold as Sheldon, which totally helped at the moment, because Troy did not like watching people spit up blood. The follow-up wasn't as reassuring. "Slowly suffocating him, but no pressure," he said with a snort, because making light of the situation was the way he dealt with things.
He looked at image, studying it for just a moment. "All right. Nell, tell me when to start. Once it reaches here, that's the rib right? Then I'll stop, you can change the shape again and then I'll put it out. Just... keep the x-ray on, it'll help me visualize it."
Troy took Nell's hand, not for comfort, but because it was much easier to communicate this way. Even with the x-ray, he knew that he needed to focus on what he's learned with Callen. X-rays weren't in 3D, and he knew where the heart was and how they needed to stay under it. When Nell gave him the go, he pulled the bullet out. The first part was the hardest, because it wasn't in a straight line. The bullet had been deformed and had changed shape after hitting the rib. It took longer than he would have liked for that first part, but he tried to ignore the moans from Travis, letting Nell change the curvature as they reached the rub, and then it was much easier, pulling it out the rest of the way with speed and precision. "Okay, and that? Cool and yucky at the same time," he said as blood followed the bullet and started to ooze out. "Do you need anything else from us?"
