"Yes, thank you." Maura didn't like the amount of blood filling the syringe. She needed to drain the blood and release the air in his chest and pray that would do the trick. She didn't want to have to open him up if she didn't have to, not here. It was too contaminated, the risk of infection so high. "Besides the x-ray, I need the endotracheal tubes -- at least half a dozen. I can improvise them into chest tubes. I'll need a bag or something to collect the blood as it drains, whatever you can find. IVs, saline, sodium Pentothal, and the suction pump. Get me the oxygen tanks and defibrillator, too, if you can. Just in case. If you can, the heart monitor. But, if you have to leave something, leave that. I can manage without."
The syringe filled, she set it aside. When she had the bag for the blood, she could empty it then. For now, she grabbed a second syringe from her bag. She'd made it a point to memorize everyone's blood types during their physicals for just such a time as this. It took only a moment to think of the names she'd need. "He could lose a lot of blood. Let's get two in here to start. Thomas, Doug, and their mother are all matches. Also Sean or Tamira. Whichever two can drop everything and come now, I'll take them. The others need to start driving up here. If they can't or won't, then Deeks, Bud, or Dom will suffice. But, it doesn't look good. And I need Casey up here now. I'm going to need someone to assist with setting up these transfusions and I don't want to wear you out in case I need you later."
