"Next you'll tell them that Santa doesn't exist. I can already hear complaints about how mean you are," he answered. "There's nothing wrong with reading a lot."
Leon smiled. "Two very passionate men with very different agendas. That was the problem, because in the end, the decision wasn't made by either one of you. He went up the chain of command." He nodded in understanding. "He'll get there. He's another one who's special. I know I'm partial to my agents, and more than a few rose up to the occasion, but I trust Dom will eventually deal with this. He has family to help him. He has you, because you do understand what he's doing."
Making decisions wasn't as easy as it sounded at the moment, but he tried. "Are you implying that we shouldn't allow the Hammonds to make the final decision?" he asked as he mulled the decision over. "All right, three codes if that's practical. You, Dom and Deeks. Remembering numbers right now is not easy." And he trusted that none of them would counter one of his orders. They also had very different agendas, balancing each other out. "I thought you've been learning since you got here. I also thought you needed to take over somewhere else. I'm afraid someone else will be stuck with my job."
